His 7th studio album would top off at #17 on the Billboard charts. 1988 – The Naked Gun premiered in theaters starring the late great Leslie Neilson as bumbling police detective Frank Drebin. 1989 – The world got to experience a good old fashioned, Griswold Family Christmas as National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation premiered in theaters.
