This Week in 80’s History!Posted on December 10, 2022 It’s time to take a look back at this week in 80’s history! It was on this week in: 1980 – That we tragically lost former Beatle John Lennon, as he was murdered by a deranged fan outside of a hotel in New York City. 1983 – The world said hello to Al Pacino’s little friend as Scarface premiered in theaters. It would set the record at the time for most F bombs dropped in a single movie. 1988 – Twins premiered in theaters, featuring the unlikely pairing of Danny DeVito and Arnold Schwarzenegger as twin brothers. 1989 – “We Didn’t Start the Fire” by Billy Joel became the #1 song in America, taking over the top spot on the Billboard charts and holding onto it for the month of December.
