Join us on Thursday, October 24, 2024 from 5:30 – 7:30 PM at the Urbandale Police Department parking lot for our annual Trunk-or-Treat event. We will have lots of candy and decorated vehicles, so stop by with your friends, family, kids, or yourself. We can’t wait to see you there!

Trunk or treat is an annual community event that highlights a style of Halloween trick or treating where children are offered a fun/safe way to solicit candy and other goodies not from households but from car trunks in an entertainment style similar to tailgating. Here at the Urbandale Police Department we team up with 30+ local businesses and fill our parking lot with Halloween fun.  Kids are able to interact with officers as they collect goodies going trunk to trunk.  In 2019, we had nearly 4000 “trick-or-treaters” join us in the Halloween fun.  In 2018 an un-haunted trail was included in the event that ended at the library where cookies and a dance party were provided and in 2019 we continued with that tradition!
