New Jersey mayor unhappy with Jon Bon Jovi’s JBJ Soul Kitchen

Toms River, New Jersey mayor Daniel Rodrick is taking offense to the fact that Jon Bon Jovi and his wife Dorothea’s JBJ Soul Kitchen has set up a pop up restaurant in his city. JBJ Soul Kitchen is a nonprofit community restaurant where they do not list prices on their menu, rather asking patrons who can afford it to pay a “suggested donation” as a way to pay it forward. JBJ’s main goal is to provide means and comfort to those in need, namely those individuals dealing with homelessness.  Apparently despite appreciating that, “Bon Jovi wants to feed people that are needy, but the public library down a block from a school is not the appropriate place to bus homeless in from all over the state of New Jersey and other states,” Rodrick told NBC News. Apparently the Mayor is fine with JBJ’s mission….as long as it isn’t apart of his city. In my humble opinion, I think we need a lot mor Jon Bon Jovi’s in the world and a few less politicians like Daniel Rodrick. Read the full story here and come to your own conclusions.
