The Perry Hy-Vee, in partnership with PepsiCo and the Iowa National Guard, will host a community chili dinner with all donations benefiting the Perry Community School District on Saturday, Jan. 27.
The chili dinner will be free to the community and be held at the Iowa National Guard Center in Perry from 4 – 8 p.m. The donations collected at the community chili dinner will be donated to the Perry Community School District to benefit those impacted by the tragic event on Jan. 4.
“Our Hy-Vee family is deeply impacted by the tragic events that happened in Perry,” said JJ Hesnard, district store director of the Perry Hy-Vee. “We know mealtime is one way people can come together and we hope this gesture can comfort those affected and encourage community healing.”
