It’s time to peer into the way back machine and see what this week looked like in the 1980’s. It was on this week in:

1980 – Raging Bull Premiered in Theaters. Starring Robert DeNiro and Joe Pesci, DeNiro would take home the Oscar that year for best actor.

1983 – The Iron Sheik Beat Bob Backlund to Win the WWF Heavyweight Championship

1988 – Rain Man Premiered in Theaters, Starring Tom Cruise and Dustin Hoffman, Hoffman would win an Oscar for best actor for his role. 

1989 – The Simpsons Premiered on Fox. Although the world was introduced to The Simpson family two years prior as a short on the Tracey Ullman show.
